Spielberg Gets into the Streaming Game with Amazon’s Cortes

Only a few days after making comments to ITV News saying that films from streaming sites like Netflix should win Emmy’s and not Oscars, Steven Spielberg has signed on to create a television series for Amazon. The show stems from an in development film that Spielberg and actor/producer Javier Bardem had been in talks on for a while. Based on an unproduced script by prolific screenwriter Dalton Trumbo, the series will center on the epic saga of Hernan Cortes.

Rick and Morty Season 4: Never Doubt a Cash Grab

Earlier this week Dan Harmon, the executive producer, co-creator and writer of Rick and Morty, sent fans into panic mode when he stated on twitter that Adult Swim hadn’t ordered a 4th season of the hit TV series. Since then multiple outlets have reported that this could be the end of the show. While it’s easy to assume that Harmon’s comments mean the show may not come back, there’s no way that’s going to happen.

SDCC: Netflix’s Defenders Panel and Trailer (with a Taste of Punisher)

In the fall of 2013 it was announced that Marvel was working on creating TV series for Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage. The plan being for them to all then group together in a separate team up series The Defenders. Netflix picked up the project, starting with Season 1 of Daredevil. Since then the properties have become huge Hits for Netflix and Marvel and have led to a second season for Daredevil, with a third on the way, second seasons of Jessica Jones and Luke Cage currently in production, a Punisher spinoff coming late this year and the group series Defenders hitting Netflix this August.

SDCC: Teen Wolf Shares A Heartfelt Goodbye

MTV’s Sci-Fi Series Teen Wolf, is readying it’s final ten episodes which begin airing this weekend. As a final goodbye to fans, the cast of the show and executive producer Jeff Davis came to Hall H to share a new trailer, the cast’s original audition tapes and some heartfelt words on the series run. SDCC: Teen Titans Go! Panel

Cartoon Network’s Teen Titans Go! held a panel during this year’s San Diego Comic Con with Executive Producers Michael Jelenic and Aaron Horvath as well as cast members Scott Menville (Robin), Khary Payton (Cyborg) and Greg Cipes (Beast Boy). The panel began with the cast members singing songs from the show and went into discussion on upcoming episodes of the show.
