In anticipation for the release of The Incredibles 2, Disney and Pixar have not only released a new poster for the film, but have also announced a Lego video game based on the Incredibles.
20th Century Fox has released a brand new trailer for the highly anticipated Deadpool sequel. The film still has yet to be given an official title, but is one of the most anticipated releases of the summer. Ryan Reynolds returns as the Merc with a Mouth alongside Weasel (T.J. Miller), Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), Blind Al (Leslie Uggams), Dopinder (Karan Soni) and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand). The film will also see the introduction of fellow mutants, Cable (Josh Brolin) and Domino (Zazie Beetz). Terry Crews, Shioli Kutsuna and Eddie Marsan have also been cast in undisclosed roles. In the fall of 2013 it was announced that Marvel was working on creating TV series for Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage. The plan being for them to all then group together in a separate team up series The Defenders. Netflix picked up the project, starting with Season 1 of Daredevil. Since then the properties have become huge Hits for Netflix and Marvel and have led to a second season for Daredevil, with a third on the way, second seasons of Jessica Jones and Luke Cage currently in production, a Punisher spinoff coming late this year and the group series Defenders hitting Netflix this August.
AMC’s hit comic book show Preacher came to Comic Con this year with a trailer for the rest of its second season, an introduction to a new villain and a panel featuring the cast and creative force behind the show. The panel began with a trailer which you can check out below.
Nickelodeon has been working hard lately on cashing in on the growth of 90’s Nostalgia. Last year they premiered a made for TV movie based on the popular game show Legends of the Hidden Temple. And up next they have two TV movies based on Rocko’s Modern Life and Hey Arnold. They premiered trailers for both films at Comic Con and we have them here as well as some other information on both projects.
MTV’s Sci-Fi Series Teen Wolf, is readying it’s final ten episodes which begin airing this weekend. As a final goodbye to fans, the cast of the show and executive producer Jeff Davis came to Hall H to share a new trailer, the cast’s original audition tapes and some heartfelt words on the series run. There’s usually not much Big video game news out of SDCC. But this year Activision and Sledgehammer games decided to bring their highly anticipated Call of Duty: WW2 Zombies game to the pop culture event.
Amazon Studios and Roadside Attractions have released the first trailer for the upcoming Todd Haynes film Wonderstuck. The film is based on the Brian Selznick book of the same name. The film which was also written by Selznick, Stars Oakes Finley and Millicent Simmons as two children decades apart but both seeking to find a part of their lives that is missing. The film also stars Julianne Moore and Michelle Williams and is set for release on October 20th of this year.
At the Warner Brothers Panel for this Year’s San Diego Comic Con, wrapped up with their most anticipated projects, Justice League and Aquaman. The panel, moderated by Chris Hardwick, began with a sizzle real of footage followed by logo reveals for Shazam, Suicide Squad 2, The Batman, Justice League Dark, Batgirl, Green Lantern Corps, Flash (which then led to a Flashpoint logo) and Wonder Woman 2.
While Universal and Legendary Pictures’ Pacific Rim Uprising isn’t appearing at the San Diego Comic Con this year, they did just drop the first teaser trailer for the upcoming sequel that features Star Wars star John Boyega. The teaser is is part of a viral marketing/social media campaign that asks audiences to join the team in the war against Kaiju that have attacked the world in this Pacific Rim universe.
