A brand new trailer just dropped for Spider-Man: Far From Home and it’s got some MAJOR Avengers: Endgame Spoilers!
If you have not yet seen Avengers: Endgame, you are going to want to wait to watch this trailer. Marvel and Sony have even included a spoiler warning at the start of the trailer, which is quite possibly the first time this type of thing has ever been done. If you’ve seen Avengers: Endgame check out the trailer below as well as our thoughts.
There is a LOT to take in here.
First off the fact that Marvel is introducing a Multi-Verse is incredibly intriguing. It gives them the ability to adjust storylines big time and tell some very different type of stories that we haven’t seen yet in the MCU. Second, the fact that Peter is still dealing with the loss of Tony is something that while expected, is nice to confirm. We haven’t seen Peter in the MCU dealing with something like this, and so it’ll be a good way of expanding his character.
For now, I enjoy how they’re using Happy and Nick Fury here to help move Peter past being what he was in his first couple MCU films. As Fury says, Peter has been to space, and he fought Thanos alongside the greatest heroes in the world, and Universe for that matter. He doesn’t have to just stick to the neighborhood anymore, and once again it’ll be interesting to see how this helps grow him as a person.
The biggest question for now is how they’re dealing with Mysterio. In the comics he’s a villain- one of the classic Spider-Man villains an usually a member of the Sinister Six. His comic backstory is usually something along the lines of him being a former stunt man and special effects wizard who used his talents to rob banks and commit crimes, while pretending to be an alien from another planet. There’s a chance the storyline for Far From Home could match up with that in some way. But for now they seem to be treating him solely as a hero and confidant for Peter. No matter what he seems like an interesting addition to the Spider-Man franchise, and as a fan of the character I’m just excited to see how they use him on screen.
Keep following Poor Man’s Spoiler for more updates on Spider-Man: Far From Home, and be sure to catch the film when it hits theaters on July 2nd!
